“Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy.”

Ludwig van Beethoven

What can be better than to find some peace on Saturday evening, listening to inspirational and sometimes so hard but pure music of one of the greatest composers in the world – Ludwig van Beethoven? He was a genius of classical music. His music can’t leave anyone apathetic.

Leaving in a modern world with so many different styles of music, electronic and something that can’t really name as music, we are losing the real meaning of classical music. Classical music is the highest level of art – it aims to inspire, to awake the best qualities in our souls. This is the way to connect to our soul and heart, to awake a creative nature in ourselves.

Today I chose to spend 90 mins on a lecture-concert, dedicated to Beethoven. From one side it was a pleasure to see that so many people, especially young people are still interested in classical music and are ready to listen to such a great music, to learn new information about people who made this world better creating something new with their art. But as the emcee said, it’s better to enjoy a music of a genius from far than to know him personally, because we can lose our personality close to a genius.

And from the other side I realised that this evening didn’t meet people’s expectations as the main expectation was to listen to music only. But as for my opinion – it’s not bad. Living our lives we don’t usually read about historical persons or people who made this world better. It was a lesson and the way to know unusual information. It helped to understand that even couple centuries ago people met the same personal problems as we face with now, they struggled from the same issues and fears. And knowing it we have an opportunity to look at our life from the other angle and to become better, to be more open and more kind and let art be in our life, to awake deep desires, deep abilities, to defeat a fear and to try finally something new.

I was thinking why such a talented people as Beethoven were unhappy? Is it the way to create unique music – to struggle with personal problems? It was his way to explore the world, to know himself better and to express himself. He shared the most tender and personal thing – his soul. And it should be an honor for everyone to listen to it or to play his music. It can be a way from new generations to learn old styles but so talented and unique and a way to touch a soul.

So the point is – listen to music of Ludwig van Beethoven, don’t be afraid to explore new life opportunities and develop yourself every day.
