“Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer”

After around a week in Czech Republic, it was time to take the trip to Poland! I took a bus in Ostrava and it took around 4 hours to get there. After I got to the bus station, I kinda felt familiar with the place, since I had stalked that area on Google Street View before my trip xD So I knew exactly where to go. Since I had my broken bag with me I decided to call an Uber. After a while, I realized that the Uber couldn’t find me and took the wrong way, I wrote to him and guess what, he didn’t speak English! Haha XD
With the problem being solved after a walk with my broken bag, I finally reached the hostel, that has THE BEST POSSIBLE LOCATION EVER. It was riiiiight in the middle of one of the most touristic streets and 5 minutes from the main square!
I checked in in the hostel, when I found my room, I noticed a familiar face there, yep, my Canadian friend from Munich was staying there at the same place, at the same time and at the same room than me! The room itself was a mix of nationalities, with people from India, Belgium, New Zealand and The United States.
After resting for a bit, I went down to explore the city, with the company of two local friends, who shown and told me everything about the city, thanks a lot! 😀 We visited the old Kings castle, a Dragon that spits actual fire (!!!), visited the river and tried one of Polish National Dishes, Pierogi! I must be honest, I didn’t like it very much XDD
Then we headed to this bar that is pretty much unknown by tourists, being hid in back of a library (!!!). I really liked, I guess because I was the only one in the facilities who weren’t Polish, and, being Krakow a city full of tourists, that’s not something you can easily find. Had a great time there with beer and laughing that I almost lost track of time!
I said good night for my friends for the day and went back to the hostel, where they served a pretty good free dinner and we all started to prepare for the pub crawl. But that’s a story for the next post 😀
