Castle in DubrovnikSince I’ve been in love with Croatia from the first step I made 6 years ago, I dreamed to come back there are explore as much of its beauty as possible. I even dreamed to live in there. When I first visited this amazing country, they were not part of European union so I was lucky to visit it without any visa. This time I had Narrow streets in the Old Citya biometric passport so I also didn’t have any difficulties to arrive. I was living in Montenegro this time so it was only a few hours away from Dubrovnik by car and since we had last days of our international car insurance, we decided to use this amazing opportunity and make my dream come true. It was almost the middle of October, the weather was so warm and sunny as at summer and only late sunrise and earlier sunset reminded that it’s Observing stones and islands on a boat tripalready autumn. Since I have explored a lot of Montenegro already I knew it’s almost the same nature, the same sea. But once we crossed the border, I felt that it’s a completely different country. It’s hard to explain, there are no major differences between two beautiful neighbors – Montenegro and Croatia but I felt it very strong. Maybe because Croatia Port in the old city Dubrovnikis already the member of the European Union and Montenegro will be only in few years and Croatia has more developed tourism.. Anyway, I was happy to enjoy the road till Dubrovnik and it was only about 50 km from the border which is really close. We prepared for arrival and knew that the most popular and well-known destination in Dubrovnik is Old city and all parkings are there very expensive and as closer to Old city it is located, it Famous place where the Games of Thrones was filmedbecomes even more expensive, which is logical. So we found a free parking close to a supermarket and just walked to the Old City. After the most popular serial was filmed there (“The Games of Thrones”), Dubrovnik became even more popular touristic destination. As in most mountain countries, the roads are narrow and winding there. As it was a very warm day, Famous celebrities like to rest in expensive villasthere were a lot of tourists from many different countries. I liked that even despite that, it was very clean everywhere and the general feeling was quiet and relaxed. People were enjoying views, were not in rush so it was a pleasure to enjoy that beautiful city and take spectacular photos. The old city is a very big one comparing to similar ones I’ve visited in other countries. When we reached the port, there was a wonderful view and as for my pleasure, I found some boat Dubrovnik and the lighthouse from the boatexcursions so I happily bought one. On my first trip to Croatia we had a wonderful one day trip in the sea around beautiful islands. This time it was 45mins journey (which costed only 10 euro) around some islands near Dubrovnik and watching all local sights. I was very happy to go by such a small boat, with an opportunity to touch the sea, feel it’s breeze on my face Dubrovnik from the observation pointand enjoy still warm sun. Our captain was very kind to tell us a bit about local sights, showed us beautifully hidden caves, church on the island. It was funny that there was an island with a nudist beach there and there were really a lot of people, how could they reach an island as there were not boats around?! It was interesting to watch it, a lot of people were swimming and I didn’t expect that as Croatia is even more on the north from On the way to the Old CIty of DubrovnikMontenegro… But it seemed like the season didn’t finish at all… It is my favorite part of any trip – sea sailing with an opportunity to watch the city from the water, to take great photos and to breath amazing healing air… This is a dreamy city and really worth to visit. Since we have arrived there by car, the road goes very high in the mountains and there are really great spots along the road to take spectacular photos of that amazing city. Wish you a great journey if you want to visit it and share with us your experience in Dubrovnik – what did you like and what would you recommend others?
